10 questions you should ask when engaging in a building designer

Crystals are gifts of the earth, and since ancient times they have been treasured the world over. Uniquely beautiful, crystals hold within them sacred meaning, special knowledge and healing properties. Mitchell Coombes takes us through some top crystal uses.

Protection
Tiger’s eye heals issues of self worth and blocked creativity. It is also stone of spiritual protection and can assist in lifting moods and alleviating depression.

Use: Hold a small tiger’s eye crystal in your hands, close your eyes and relax your breathing. Visualise yourself in a bubble of white light for protection and say the following “I am divinely guided and protected at all times” Repeat this affirmation often.

Luck
Green jade promotes good luck and aids purity, serenity and tranquility. A stone of wisdom, it can also help bring a harmonious outcome to difficult relationships.

Use: Carry a small green jade crystal around with you in your handbag, purse or wallet. Alternatively, you could place a green jade crystal, along with other symbols of prosperity, in the far left-hand corner (looking in from the main door) of any room. This is known as the prosperity / wealth corner in feng shui.

Intuition
Amethyst opens the third eye and increases psychic perception, impressions and intuition. It also helps protect your aura from negative energy and aids healing.

Use: There’s a lot of truth to the old adage sleep on it. Tune your intuition to receive guidance while you sleep. Place a small polished amethyst crystal under your pillow to help promote psychic and tranquil dreams.

Choosing crystals
When selecting a crystal, allow your intuitive feelings to guide you – go with what feels right. Pick up the crystal; take in its colour, shape and size. Hold the crystal in your hand – how does it feel? The palm of your hand may begin to tingle or experience intense warmth in response to a crystal calling out to you. Crystals that seem to jump out at you are always most helpful.
